Variable Income, a website operated by Codebead LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information in connection with your use of this website (the "Site"). By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide. If you contact us — for example, through the email address listed on our Contact page — we receive whatever information you choose to include, such as your name, email address, and message. We use this only to respond to you.
Calculator inputs. The numbers you enter into our tools and calculators (income, expenses, savings goals, and similar figures) are processed entirely in your web browser using JavaScript. This data is not transmitted to, received by, or stored on Variable Income's servers. It exists only in your browser's temporary memory and disappears when you close or reload the page.
Automatically collected information. Like most websites, our hosting provider and any analytics or advertising services we use may automatically collect standard technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, and timestamps. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies, described in Section 3 below.
2. How we use information
- To operate, maintain, and improve the Site and its content;
- To understand aggregate usage patterns (for example, which guides are most read) so we can prioritize what to write or fix next;
- To respond to inquiries sent to us directly;

We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not use anything you enter into our calculators for any purpose — because we never receive it in the first place.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
EEA/UK residents (GDPR/UK GDPR). If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, our legal basis for using essential cookies is our legitimate interest in operating the Site; our legal basis for analytics and advertising cookies is your consent, which we request before those cookies are set. You have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict our use of your personal information, to object to processing, to request a portable copy of your data, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
General opt-outs. Regardless of location, you can manage advertising cookies through adssettings.google.com and www.aboutads.info/choices, and manage all cookies through your browser settings.

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information we hold, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, or as required by law.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
