1. Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Variable Income, a website operated by Codebead LLC ("we," "us," "our"), governing your access to and use of this website, including all content, tools, and calculators available on it (collectively, the "Site"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Site.

2. Description of the service

Variable Income provides free, general educational articles, guides, checklists, and interactive calculators related to personal and business finance topics for freelancers, consultants, creators, and other self-employed individuals. The Site does not require account creation and, as of this writing, is free to access. We may introduce, modify, or discontinue features at any time.

3. Educational purpose; no professional relationship

Our calculators produce general estimates based on the information you enter and simplified public formulas disclosed on each tool's page. They are provided "as is," without warranty of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose. You are solely responsible for verifying any output before relying on it, and for any decision you make using it.

6. Intellectual property

All content on the Site — including text, articles, guides, graphics, logos, the Variable Income name and mark, and the underlying code of our tools (excluding open-source or third-party libraries, which remain subject to their own licenses) — is owned by Variable Income or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and view the Site for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, republish, distribute, scrape, frame, or create derivative works from any part of the Site without our prior written permission, except for brief quotation with clear attribution and a link back to the original page, consistent with fair use.

7. Prohibited conduct

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying logic of our calculators for use in a competing product or service;
• Misrepresent your affiliation with Variable Income; or
• Upload or transmit any virus, malware, or other harmful code through the Site.

8. Advertising and third-party content

The Site displays advertisements, including through Google AdSense and potentially other advertising networks. Advertisements are provided by independent third parties and are not reviewed, endorsed, or guaranteed by Variable Income. Any transaction or interaction you have with an advertiser is solely between you and that advertiser. The Site may also link to third-party websites for reference or convenience; we are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of those sites.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT, TOOLS, AND CALCULATORS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, OR THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, VARIABLE INCOME, CODEBEAD LLC, AND THEIR OWNERS, CONTRIBUTORS, AND AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SITE, INCLUDING ANY FINANCIAL, TAX, OR BUSINESS DECISION MADE IN RELIANCE ON CONTENT OR CALCULATOR OUTPUT FROM THE SITE — EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. BECAUSE THE SITE IS PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID, IF ANY, TO ACCESS THE SITE, OR (B) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS ($50).

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site, including specific tools or calculators, at any time and without notice or liability to you.

13. Changes to these terms

We may revise these Terms at any time by posting an updated version with a new "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site should first be raised informally by contacting us, as described below; if it cannot be resolved informally, you agree that any legal action will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

16. Entire agreement

These Terms, together with our Disclaimer and Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Variable Income regarding your use of the Site, superseding any prior agreements.
